Is applicable to non-interrupted creep-testing of stranded conductors for overhead lines such as those specified by IEC 61089. Procedures for interpreting the results are also included. The object of the test is principally to calculate creep for any purpose and to compare creep of different conductors.
Abstract
Overview
IEC 61395:1998 is an international standard published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that specifies procedures for creep testing of stranded overhead electrical conductors. Primarily applicable to non-interrupted creep tests on stranded conductors such as those defined in IEC 61089, this standard details methods for sample selection, test execution, data acquisition, and interpretation of results. The main purpose of the standard is to enable accurate calculation and comparison of conductor creep under sustained mechanical load over time.
