Applies to spacers for conductor bundles of overhead lines. It covers rigid spacers, flexible spacers and spacer dampers. It does not apply to interphase spacers, hoop spacers and bonding spacers.
Abstract
Overview
IEC 61854:1998 is an international standard issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that specifies the requirements and testing protocols for spacers used in conductor bundles of overhead power lines. It covers three main types of spacers: rigid spacers, flexible spacers, and spacer dampers. Note that this standard explicitly excludes interphase spacers, hoop spacers, and bonding spacers from its scope.
