Overview
IEC 62386-101:2022 - part of the IEC 62386 series for the Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) - specifies general requirements for system components in a bus system used to control electronic lighting equipment by digital signals. This third edition (2022) updates scope, safety and earthing, bus-power vs external-power rules, polarity sensitivity for bus units that include bus power supplies, and frame size reservations (32-bit frames are no longer reserved). The standard does NOT cover application controller control algorithms or EMC requirements.
