IEC 62769-3:2023 specifies the FDI®[1] Server. The overall FDI® architecture is illustrated in Figure 1. The architectural components that are within the scope of this document have been highlighted in this figure. Annex A provides a functional description of the FDI® Server. Abstract
Overview
IEC 62769-3:2023 defines the Field Device Integration (FDI®) Server portion of the FDI architecture used in industrial automation. This part specifies the FDI Server information model, services and behaviors that enable interoperable integration of field devices, device descriptors and operator user interfaces. Annex A of the standard provides a functional description of the FDI Server. (FDI® is a registered trademark of Fieldbus Foundation.)
