Overview
IEC 63211-2-23:2025 - "Durability test methods for electronic displays – Part 2-23: Environmental tests – Outdoor weathering" - specifies laboratory test methods and controlled environmental conditions for assessing the durability of electronic displays intended for outdoor installation. The standard covers simulated and exposure using xenon-arc light sources with daylight filters, controlled irradiance and radiant exposure measurements, and defined temperature, humidity and spray cycles to reproduce outdoor weathering stress.
