IEC 63510-1:2025 defines data models for Interoperable Connected Household Appliances. The data models are derived from a logical decomposition of use cases into functional blocks that themselves were realized by abstract actions on the data model itself. This document is part of the IEC 63510 series, which defines the information exchange between Smart Appliances and management systems in homes and buildings including energy management.

IEC 63510-1:2025 is the first part of the IEC 63510 series and specifies general requirements, generic data modelling and neutral messages for interoperable connected household appliances. Published in 2025 (Edition 1.0), this international standard defines how Smart Appliances exchange information with home and building management systems, with a focus on energy management and grid connectivity. The data models are derived by decomposing real use cases into functional blocks implemented by abstract actions on the data model.
