Abstract
Overview
ISO 10286:2025 - Gas cylinders - Vocabulary provides a standardized set of terms and definitions for the manufacture, use, transport and inspection of gas cylinders and other pressure receptacles and their fittings. The sixth edition consolidates terminology across metal and composite cylinders, tubes, pressure drums, bundles, MEGCs, closed cryogenic receptacles, metal‑hydride storage systems and associated accessories. It aligns many entries with the UN Model Regulations and includes French and German equivalents (Annex B) and illustrative figures (Annex C).
