Overview

ISO 11442:2006 - Technical product documentation - Document management - specifies basic rules for managing technical documents throughout the product life-cycle. It defines document types (original, signature document, viewing copy, archive master, replica), lifecycle phases (creation, approval, release, storage/active, revision, archiving) and core management requirements such as controlled storage, check-in/check-out, trusted file formats and protection of information.
