Abstract
Overview
ISO 12097-2:1996 - Road vehicles - Airbag components - Part 2: Testing of airbag modules - defines uniform test methods, environmental procedures and performance requirements for complete airbag modules used in road vehicles. It is part of the ISO 12097 suite (Part 1: Vocabulary; Part 3: Testing of inflator assemblies). The standard specifies a comprehensive test programme (19 identical samples) to simulate the airbag module life cycle: shipping, storage, mounting, operation, maintenance and repair.
