Abstract
Overview
ISO 13397-3:1996 defines the dimensional requirements for H-type dental scalers, a family of hand instruments used to remove calculus and other accretions from tooth surfaces. Part 3 of covers H‑type designs (including chisel, cleoid and sickle forms) and provides the standardised drawings, tables of dimensions and points of measurement needed for consistent manufacture, inspection and procurement. The standard is part of the series addressing periodontal curettes, dental scalers and excavators.
