Abstract
Overview
ISO 14245:2021/Amd 1:2025 is an important amendment to the international standard governing gas cylinders, specifically focusing on specifications and testing of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinder valves with self-closing mechanisms. This amendment updates the third edition published in 2021 and enhances the technical requirements for valve design, testing methods, and performance criteria to ensure safe and reliable operation of LPG cylinder valves. Developed by ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 58, Subcommittee SC 2 in cooperation with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), this standard supports industry-wide consistency and product safety.
