Overview
ISO 19490:2025 - Dentistry - Sinus membrane elevator defines requirements and test methods for sinus membrane elevators used during dental implant procedures for sinus floor lifting. The standard covers design classification, material and surface requirements, reprocessing resistance, mechanical performance (hardness, tensile and torsional strength of the active part and its connection to the handle), and the required marking, labelling and user instructions. It is intended to ensure safety, performance and consistent reprocessing information for instruments used in implantology.
