ISO 26622-2:2008 specifies the dimensions and designation of tapered receivers for the modular taper interface with ball track system used for automatic and manual tool exchange on machine tools (e.g., lathes, drilling machines, milling machines and turn/milling centres). Size 100: minimum 75, maximum 110

Material and heat treatment: Manufacturers should select material and heat treatment for strength, wear and toughness. A recommended minimum hardness is 48 HRC; receiver hardness should generally exceed shank hardness.

Designation: Receivers are designated as: “Modular taper receiver ISO 26622-2 - TS ” (example: TS 63).
