Specifies a test method and the apparatus to be used for the determination of the significance of the protrusion of controls and other devices situated inside a car and also of their ability to retract, compress, or become detached under the effect of a force. An annex contains the determination of the reference zone.
Abstract
Overview
ISO 3208:1974 specifies a test method and required apparatus for evaluating - controls, knobs, levers and other internal devices - to determine how significant they are and whether they will when subjected to force. The standard defines the test headform and piston geometry, measurement ranges and basic calibration and test procedures. It also defines the (head-impact zone) inside the vehicle where these tests apply.
