Abstract
Overview
ISO 5492:2008/Amd 1:2016 is an amendment to ISO 5492:2008 - the international vocabulary for sensory analysis. Rather than prescribing procedures, this amendment expands and clarifies terminology used across sensory science. It was prepared by ISO/TC 34 (Food products), Subcommittee SC 12 (Sensory analysis) and adds definitions under general terminology, senses, and methods to support consistent communication in sensory testing and research.
