This part, together with parts 1 and 3, cancels and replaces ISO 2084:1974, ISO 2229:1973 and ISO 2441:1975. Specifies requirements for circular grey, malleable and ductile cast iron flanges of series 1 and 2. Annex A (guidance on tolerances on dimensions) and B (bibliography) are for information only.

Overview
ISO 7005-2:1988 - Metallic flanges - Part 2: Cast iron flanges - specifies requirements for circular grey, malleable and ductile cast iron flanges. Together with and it replaces older national standards (, , ). The standard defines flange types, facings, dimensions, materials and pressure/temperature (p/T) ratings for a single international flange system (series 1 and 2), plus marking, inspection and testing guidance. Annex A gives guidance on dimensional tolerances and Annex B is a bibliography.
