Overview
ISO 7561:1984, titled , provides comprehensive guidelines for optimizing the quality and shelf life of Agaricus bisporus L., the common cultivated mushroom, during harvesting, cold storage, and refrigerated transport. This international standard, developed by ISO Technical Committee 34 on Agricultural Food Products, addresses critical factors such as harvesting methods, packaging, storage parameters, and transport vehicle requirements to prevent deterioration and maintain freshness of mushrooms intended for either direct consumption or industrial processing.
