Overview
ISO 875:1999 specifies a standardized method for the evaluation of the miscibility of essential oils in ethanol-water mixtures. Developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this second edition updates and replaces the original 1981 version. The standard addresses the critical quality control step for essential oils used in various applications by defining clear protocols to assess how well essential oils dissolve or mix in ethanol of known concentrations at a controlled temperature of 20 °C.
