Overview
ISO/IEC 19566-6:2019 - JPEG 360 - is the ISO/IEC standard that specifies how to represent omnidirectional (360-degree) still and motion imagery within the JPEG systems framework. Published in 2019, it defines conventions for storing 360° image content, projections (defaulting to the ), orientation metadata, and how to encapsulate that data using box-based file structures such as (JPEG Universal Metadata Box Format).
