Overview
ISO/IEC 23090-10:2022 specifies the carriage (packaging and transport) of coded volumetric visual media that conform to visual volumetric video‑based coding and video‑based point cloud compression (as defined in ISO/IEC 23090‑5). The standard defines how V3C (visual volumetric video coding) bitstreams, atlas data and related metadata are encapsulated, referenced and delivered for playback, streaming and storage in modern media file and streaming architectures.
