ISO/IEC 23090-22:2024 defines the conformance testing framework for Geometry‑based Point Cloud Compression (G‑PCC) as specified in ISO/IEC 23090-9. The document specifies a set of tests, procedures and reference test data (bitstream test suites) designed to indicate whether encoders and decoders conform to the normative requirements of G‑PCC. It uses the reference software decoder (see ISO/IEC 23090-21) to validate bitstreams and to provide a baseline for decoder behaviour.
