Abstract
Overview
SIST EN ISO 11074:2025 (ISO 11074:2025) is the third edition of the international vocabulary standard for soil quality. It defines and harmonizes terminology used across the field of soil quality and pedology. The 2025 edition consolidates terms into a single, alphabetically ordered Clause 3, clarifies context-dependent definitions (using domain tags in angle brackets), and incorporates the 2015 edition and the 2020 amendment it supersedes. The document was prepared by ISO/TC 190 in collaboration with CEN/TC 444 and includes an informative Annex A on relationships between sampling operations.
