Overview
EN ISO 12153:2022 (ISO 12153:2022) specifies the classification requirements for tubular‑cored electrodes used in metal‑arc welding of nickel and nickel alloys, with or without a gas shield. The standard covers electrodes where nickel is the predominant element in composition and defines how these welding consumables are designated, analyzed and documented. This edition (2022) supersedes the 2012 version and includes updated alloy chemistries and new alloy symbols.
