Overview

EN ISO 13802:2025 - "Plastics - Verification of pendulum impact‑testing machines - Charpy, Izod and tensile impact‑testing" (CEN adoption of ISO 13802:2025) specifies the frequency and methods for verifying pendulum‑type impact testers used for Charpy, Izod and tensile impact tests (referenced in ISO 179‑1, ISO 180 and ISO 8256). This third edition replaces EN ISO 13802:2015 and focuses on verification of geometrical and physical properties of machines across capacities and designs. Instrumented machines are covered only when their geometrical/physical properties match non‑instrumented machines; force/work verification for instrumented systems is excluded.
