Overview
EN ISO 16140-3:2021/A1:2025 (CEN endorsement of Amendment 1) updates the single-laboratory verification protocol within the series to include . This amendment integrates the technical protocol for verifying validated identification methods (referencing ) and clarifies how identification methods interact with confirmation and detection workflows in food microbiology. The amendment was approved by CEN in August 2025 and is intended for national adoption by February 2026.
