EN ISO 22744-2:2020 - "Textiles and textile products - Determination of organotin compounds - Part 2: Direct method using liquid chromatography" - is a CEN-endorsed ISO test method for the qualification and quantification of organotin compounds in textiles. Reagents and apparatus: analytical‑grade solvents (water, methanol, ethanol), tropolone, ammonium formate/formic acid, standard organotin compounds, LC‑MS/MS instrumentation and suitable consumables (0.45 μm syringe filters, LC vials, C18 reverse‑phase column noted as suitable). ISO 4787 is referenced for volumetric glassware.

Calibration and expression of results: the method defines preparation of stock/working standards, internal standards, calibration curves and calculation/reporting of quantitative results. Annexes provide example chromatographic conditions, calibration preparation and method reliability data.

Safety: explicit warning about the toxicity and endocrine‑disrupting properties of organotins - appropriate lab safety and environmental controls are required.
