DD CEN/TS 15916-1 is an international standard that discusses the flame atomic absorption spectrometric method (FAAS) for copper and copper alloys. Atomic absorption (AA) spectroscopy uses the absorption of light to measure the concentration of gas-phase atoms. DD CEN/TS 15916-1 specifies a flame atomic absorption spectrometric method (FAAS) for the determination of the tellurium content of copper and copper alloys in form of castings or unwrought or wrought products. The method applies to products with tellurium mass fractions between 0,000 2 % and 0,020 %.
