Overview
EN 28343:1991 (ISO 8343:1985) specifies a gravimetric method for the determination of silicon content in ferronickel alloys. The procedure covers the analytical range 0.2 to 4.0 % (m/m) and describes principle, reagents, apparatus, sampling, procedure, result expression and test reporting. This standard is intended for routine laboratory analysis and quality control of ferronickel and other nickel-bearing ferroalloys.
