Overview
EN ISO 105-X10:1995 (ISO 105‑X10:1993) specifies a laboratory method to assess the resistance of textile colours to migration into polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coatings that contain a plasticizer. The test simulates contact between a textile impregnated with plasticizer and a white pigmented PVC foil under heat and pressure, then rates any staining of the PVC foil using the ISO grey scale. This part of the ISO 105 series is used for colour fastness evaluation where PVC-coated materials are involved.

- Cleaning and assessment: After testing, remove specimen, rinse excess plasticizer from the PVC foil with petroleum ether (flammable - caution), allow to evaporate, then assess staining using the ISO 105‑A03 grey scale.
- Reporting: Include standard reference, sample identification, type of plasticizer used and the numerical grey-scale rating for staining.
