Overview
EN ISO 105‑Z05:1998 (ISO 105‑Z05:1996) specifies a standardized laboratory method for determining the dusting behaviour of dyes used in textiles. The test quantifies how much airborne dust is generated when a defined quantity of a solid dyestuff is handled in a dust‑generating device and collected on a filter for assessment. Measuring dustiness is important for hygiene, occupational health and safety, and quality control in dye production and textile processing.
