Overview
EN ISO 10893-9:2011 - Non-destructive testing of steel tubes, Part 9 - defines requirements for automated ultrasonic testing (AUT) of strip/plate used to manufacture welded steel tubes for the detection of laminar imperfections (e.g., laminations, delaminations). It applies to testing carried out in the pipe mill before or during production and can also be used, by agreement, for strips/plates used to make circular hollow sections or for SAW tubes after seam welding. This European adoption of ISO 10893-9:2011 supersedes EN 10246-15:2000.
