ISO 11290-1:2017 specifies a horizontal method for - the detection of L. monocytogenes, and - the detection of Listeria spp. (including L. monocytogenes). Overview
EN ISO 11290-1:2017 (ISO 11290-1:2017) defines a horizontal, standardized detection method for Listeria monocytogenes and for Listeria spp. (including L. monocytogenes) in the food chain. The method is applicable to products intended for human consumption, animal feed, and environmental samples from food production and handling areas. Part 1 of the ISO 11290 series focuses on presence/absence detection; enumeration procedures are covered in the complementary part of the series.
