Abstract
Overview
EN ISO 13397-3:1996 (adopted by CEN) is the international specification for H‑type dental scalers - a subset of periodontal instruments used to remove calculus and accretions from tooth surfaces. This part of the series defines the required for H‑type scalers, ensuring consistent form, interchangeability and safe clinical use. The standard was published as and is incorporated in national editions (for example SIST EN :2000).
