Abstract
Overview
EN ISO 14451-2:2013 (ISO 14451-2:2013) specifies uniform test methods for pyrotechnic articles for vehicles. Prepared by CEN in collaboration with ISO/TC 22, this part of the series defines how to verify design, safety and functional robustness of vehicle pyrotechnic components used in occupant protection systems (for example airbag gas generators and pretensioners). The standard is aligned with EU requirements (Directive 2007/23/EC) and is published as a CEN-endorsed European Standard.
