Abstract
Overview
EN ISO 4489:2019 - Hardmetals: Sampling and testing specifies standardized procedures for sampling and testing hardmetals (cemented carbides) to determine their physical and mechanical characteristics. Prepared by ISO/TC 119 (Powder metallurgy) and adopted by CEN, this international standard defines practical rules for taking test samples from lots and refers to established ISO test methods for density, hardness and other key properties. The standard is intended to support consistent quality control, product acceptance and comparative testing across suppliers and laboratories.
