EN ISO 683-1:2018 (ISO 683-1:2016) specifies the technical delivery requirements for non-alloy, heat-treatable steels intended for quenching and tempering. Adopted by CEN, this part covers a range of product forms - semi-finished products (blooms, billets, slabs), bars, wire rod, finished flat products and hammer/drop forgings - supplied in defined heat-treatment and surface conditions.
