ISO 7759:2010 specifies a method for the measurement of the reflectance characteristics of high-gloss anodized aluminium surfaces. The method described is also suitable for the measurement of the reflectance characteristics of other high-gloss metal surfaces. The method is not suitable for diffuse-finish metal surfaces and does not measure colour.

EN ISO 7759:2010 specifies a standardized method for measuring the reflectance characteristics of high‑gloss anodized aluminium surfaces using a goniophotometer or an abridged goniophotometer. The method characterizes visual appearance by quantifying specular and scattered reflection components from a narrow-source beam at a 30° angle of incidence. It is suitable for other high‑gloss metal surfaces but is not intended for diffuse‑finish metals and does not measure colour.
