EN ISO 8222:2020 - Petroleum measurement systems - Calibration - Volumetric measures, proving tanks and field measures - specifies design, use and calibration practices for volumetric (capacity) measures used in laboratories and the field. The standard addresses both standard and non‑standard measures, including portable and mobile devices, and provides guidance on expected uncertainties, calibration specifications and reference formulae for properties of liquids and materials (Annex A). It applies principally to the petroleum industry but is suitable for wider liquid‑measurement applications. Excluded are measures for cryogenic liquids and pressurized measures used for LPG or LNG.
