Overview
IEC 60461:2010 - Time and control code is the international IEC standard that defines a digital time and control code (timecode) for television, film and associated audio systems. It specifies the structure and transport of frame-accurate time addresses, flag bits and binary groups for use across common nominal frame rates (60, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97, 25, 24, 23.98, 59.94/50 progressive, etc.). The 2010 edition (Edition 4.0) cancels and replaces the 2001 edition and adds support for progressive systems with frame rates greater than 30 fps. A bilingual (2012) release corresponds to the 2010 English version.
