Overview
IEC 60831-2:2014 is an international standard published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that specifically addresses shunt power capacitors of the self-healing type designed for alternating current (a.c.) systems with a rated voltage up to and including 1,000 V. This part 2 of the IEC 60831 series focuses on the essential ageing test, self-healing test, and destruction test requirements for these capacitors.
