Overview
IEC 61300-2-5:2022 is the IEC test method for assessing the resistance of cable attachment elements on fibre‑optic interconnecting devices and passive components to torsional loads (twisting) encountered during installation and service. The fourth edition (a technical revision that cancels the 2009 third edition) defines the apparatus, conditioning, procedural sequence and measurement points to evaluate mechanical integrity and optical performance under combined tension and torsion.
