Abstract
Overview
IEC 61727:2004 is an international standard developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) that specifies the characteristics and requirements for the utility interface of photovoltaic (PV) systems. This standard applies to utility-interconnected PV power systems that operate parallel to the utility grid using static (solid-state) inverters for converting DC power into AC power. It sets out essential conditions to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient interconnection of PV systems with the utility distribution network.
