IEC 62196-1:2025 - Part 1 of the IEC 62196 series - defines general requirements for plugs, socket‑outlets, vehicle connectors and vehicle inlets used for conductive charging of electric vehicles (EVs). This fifth edition replaces the 2022 edition and covers accessories and cable assemblies that incorporate control means with rated operating voltages and currents not exceeding:
