Abstract
Overview
IEC 62766-8:2017 - Consumer terminal function for access to IPTV and open internet multimedia services - Part 8: defines example implementation profiles for consumer terminals (OITF) that access IPTV and open multimedia services. The standard specifies three hierarchical profiles - , , and - that describe minimum and maximum feature sets a terminal and the associated residential/network gateway should support. These profiles are intended to guide interoperability, implementation choices and certification for devices and services in the IPTV and open multimedia ecosystem.
