Overview
IEC 62933-4-3:2025 - Electrical energy storage (EES) systems - Part 4-3 - defines protection requirements for battery-based energy storage systems (BESS) with respect to environmental conditions. The standard addresses how environmental factors (for example lightning, seismic activity, water, air, flora, fauna and human factors) can affect BESS performance and safety.
