Overview
IEC TR 62390:2005 - Common automation device – Profile guideline - is a technical report from IEC TC 65 that provides guidance for developing device profiles for industrial and , independent of device complexity. The guideline aims to standardize how device functionality and behaviour are described so that devices can be integrated, compared and exchanged more easily across automation systems, reducing engineering effort and total system cost.
