Overview
IEC TS 62143:2002 - "Electrical installations for lighting and beaconing of aerodromes - Aeronautical ground lighting systems - Guidelines for the development of a safety lifecycle methodology" - provides high-level, objective-based guidance for addressing safety across the entire lifecycle of an aeronautical ground lighting (AGL) system. The technical specification applies primarily to new AGL systems (and can be adapted for existing or modified systems) at aerodromes and heliports that provide visual guidance to pilots and are operated by the aerodrome authority.
