Overview
IEC TS 62607-6-13:2020 defines a standardized Boehm titration method for quantifying oxygen functional group content in graphene-based powders. It applies to graphite oxide, graphene oxide (GO), reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and other functionalized graphene materials. The Technical Specification specifies which oxygen-containing groups are measured (carboxyl, lactone, hydroxyl and reactive carbonyl) and notes that non-reactive groups such as epoxides cannot be quantified by this method. The official corrigendum (Oct 2020) is included in this edition.
