IEC TS 63066:2017(E) applies to docking connectors (hereinafter referred to as accessories) incorporated in or fixed to electrical equipment, intended to connect removable energy storage units to a dedicated electric power conversion unit, to an energy consuming unit or to another energy storage unit.

Overview
IEC TS 63066:2017 is an IEC Technical Specification for low-voltage docking connectors for removable energy storage units. It defines requirements for accessories (docking connectors) that are incorporated in or fixed to electrical equipment to connect removable energy storage units (such as batteries) to a dedicated power conversion unit, an energy-consuming unit, or another energy storage unit. Edition 1.0 was published March 2017. This TS addresses design, safety, testing and environmental performance for low-voltage connector interfaces used in modular and removable energy storage systems.
