ISO 1003:2008 specifies requirements for ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe). Annex A specifies a method for the determination of calcium. Recommendations for storage and transport conditions are given in Annex B.

Overview
ISO 1003:2008 - "Spices - Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) - Specification" defines quality, chemical, physical and hygienic requirements for commercial dried ginger. The standard covers whole, sliced, cut and ground ginger, sampling and test methods, a normative method for determination (Annex A) and storage/transport recommendations (Annex B). It is intended to support consistent product specification, testing and trade.
